So, its my 18th birthday, and i dedicated to share my story how i got into the anime community! The 1st encounters: My first encounter with animes was when i started to go to School, it was around 2008 when a popcultural phenoma, called "The Second Anime Boom of Hungary" had occured. Well, the first anime boom was at the end of the 90s, when a new TV Channel named RTL Klub had a saturday morning cartoon block, where, insted of saturday morning cartoons, the channel aired anime, like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon and Candy Candy. They quickly became popluar, and helped many young boys and girls into the world of anime. However, the Media Goverment killed them off, so there are rarely any animes in hungarian TV stations nowdays. There used to be a TV channel that aired anime at night, but it went defunct, so the internet is the only way to watch anime. And this led to the Second Anime Boom. At the end of the 2000s, the anime Death Note became very popluar, it also cathced Hungary, and launched a new anime craze, that still lasts nowdays! Many fansubbers popped up on Video Sharing Sites, and more and more popluar, and later less popluar animes got translations. And so, my sister also got couthed up in this craze, where she talked about it with one of her friends while we take a bus ride back from school. After she finished it, i asked her:"Mi az a Death Note?"(Translation:"What is Death Note?" ) We got home, and she showed me the first episode, and i was very impressed with the animation, and the quality. We used to watch it together, however, that did not got me into anime, i had a huge obsession with the cartoon "Ed Edd n Eddy" and it still lasts now days. However, in Middle School, things changed..... The anime that left a mark not just in the anime industry, but also on Hungarian Otaku Culture, and my sister's life. The 2nd encounter: In my fist year of Middle School, i was kinda depressed, i had avarage grades and my self-worth was kinda low. One day, i asked my friend if he has any tips on how to get out of this, and he said:"Watch Gurren Lagann, it helped me out the cr*p times in my life." And so, i did, and that was agruibly one of the best experiences in my life. The imagery was awsome, the action amazed me, and Yoko, oohhh... Became my 1st waifu! Kamina became a role model for my personality, and i was quote statisfied with the ending (not conpletly, but i feel, that was the right way to close it down). My interest in anime just grew and grew day by day, atrough, because of shhool, i had no time to watch anime properly. But this summer, ive gotten more free time to spend on anime. Along my way, ive met Yoshihiko Umakoshi's works, and he inspired me to get the goal of my life: Becoming an artist! Well, im still struggling with it, but i feel, im progressing! Anyway, after Gurren Lagann, i watched Kill la Kill and Casshern Sins, and gained Interest in the shonen action and psychological thriller and horror generines, but i also like "Cute Girls doing Cute Things" animes, like Yuru Camp. The anime that changed my life. In the end....: I haven't seen that much animes so far, but i would like to became an active members, and i hope tjta one day, i would share my arts, reviews, and ideas with the MAL community! So, thanks for reading my blog, see you later!
