Now let’s get quiet and let Zettai work on the blog. Body Hair Mikan does well. She has black hair in the manga but the anime made it dark brown because reasons. If only this was the sole anime change. But that aside her hair looks amazing, being wavy and with decent volume and just right for length and even framing her face for bonus points. It’s really sexy and in her best fanservice moments it looks fantastic. And lest we forget she usually has a little bit of hair up for some reason, causing the funnily named pineapple hair effect. Overall Mikan’s hair looks great. Score: 9 Eyes Mikan has brown eyes. They look a little golden sometimes, but think they are meant to be light brown. The color is pretty nice regardless, especially since it fits well either hair color. The shape is sorta tsurime but not too strong which works pretty well. Finally there’s one eyecatch where Mikan wears glasses, lower frame only but otherwise kinda nice. Pretty good overall Score: 9 : Hmmm, pretty good already. Glad you like me that much! Naturally! You were the savior from the blight your series was! Well, okay, some other girls like Yami and Saki and sometimes Nemesis were fine, and Tearju for Topaz quite obviously, but you’re still the best one. : Thanks! Have a birthday present! *rips a massive fart* Wow, what a great present! *enjoys* : And this is only the first of many presents… *winks* Build Mikan has measurements which helps. With 149cm and 41kg her body is good for loli standards. Her three sizes are 70-52-73 which like said recently are the same as Ten’i the Ikkitousen assy loli. And Mikan also has quite the great ass for a loli but more on that later. Otherwise she looks right, being slender and flat but not COMPLETELY flat which would be not cool. She does get deaged further once but got better. Overall the girl looks real amazing and about the only issue is that the anime avoids showing off her nipples even though Prisma Illya can show younger girls nipples in the OVA thus no excuses here. The manga does in Darkness and look small and good thus cool. But the less we talk about her chest the better, since that’s not her main trait. It’s her ass instead. Score: 10 Butt Mikan does best here. She has a great ass for a loli like her and shows it fairly often. Not in the anime because XEBEC deserved dying, but the manga is really good. Highlights include the chapter where the siblings share the bed for storm reasons and Rito fondles and slightly fingers Mikan’s marshmallow ass, the facesitting when she’s possessed and attacks Rito like that, and of course Rito becoming her panties though sadly his face was wrong since was on the front and facing outside; obviously it should have been inside and on the back to stare at her fat loli ass. But even with that issue Mikan has a top tier ass. Score: 9 : You know, think I need another seat. Unfortunate. Can I get you a chair then? : Nah, this one looks much better! *facesits Zettai this time* MMMMMPH! *likes that* : And he can continue writing like that. Though I’m also jealous of the facesitting… : I’ll facesit you after the blog too! I’m popular seems like! *laughs* Clothes Mikan is pretty good at this too. Her default clothes are nothing special, but she gets many alternate outfits that are good and nurse costume too. The good outfits include gym uniform with buruma and sukumizu and wedding dress and NAKED APRON DONE RIGHT among others, plus Yami and Lala cosplays which are sexy and cute respectively. There’s also the time Rito became her panties like said. Overall really nice, could use some more variety maybe or better standard clothes or something but she’s pretty good still. Score: 9.5 Mind Personality Mikan is the ideal little sister. Not much to say for backstory though, since she’s just the younger sister of main guy Rito and takes care of him since their parents are always busy with their respective jobs. She started more normal but became incestuous over time, and developed a friendship with Yami the murderous kuudere from space. She also tries to help with the stuff Lala does and cleans up the messes left behind and the like. Simple backstory but great personality. Like said she’s perfect for her character type, being mature and reliable but also sweet and cute. She’s great at cooking and chores and basically everything really, and also gets good grades too. She can be snarky sometimes about Rito’s harem moments, meaning before the series became its own parody and pointed this out all the time, but she still loves him very much. Her one fear is thunder for bad implications since two terrible girls both Topaz and I have blogged before as villains share this fear, but that happens. Minor setbacks aside Mikan is really excellent, and the main saving grace from a poor pervy show. Score: 10 Reception Mikan has issues here. Now, the manga isn’t too bad. She started as a minor character but thanks to popularity and effort became a regular with good screentime, and while Dorkness was dumb and cut her focus down almost all the bonus chapters were about her for some balance. The problem is the anime. See, for some reason, probably being born with bad taste, the anime studio XEBEC really hates Mikan’s guts and constantly denies the girl screentime and fanservice. The first season gave her crap for focus even on times where it was weird like the episode set entirely under the backyard and the finale where literally everyone else lent a hand but not the cute adorable imouto. But Saruyama got two episodes. The second season was the only one that did a decent job with Mikan since they actually added a good buttshot to one episode and adapted the marshmallows chapter for awesome fanservice. Then Dorkness ruined all that goodwill by cutting out her bare ass from early on the series, all her chest scenes, avoiding a facesitting the most unnatural way possible, and not adapting the mentioned above legendary panties chapter. Like said other contemporary series can show loli fanservice even nipples just fine, meaning there was NO reason for this consistent hatred through the years other than bad taste which makes sense since the franchise is kinda crap. Add how Mikan is only moderately popular outside Japan and you end with this score. Boo. Score: 6.5 : What? *farts and gets up very fast* How could they do these things? Because they are brats. : That reference won’t fly sadly… One does not recognize his mistakes of youth either! : …Can we go back into my blog now? Libido Mikan is great with this. While she was a normal younger sister early on over time she became quite brocom and very naughty, which naturally is really good. She doesn’t like any guys but her brother even. She also has some light yuri with Yami for bonus points. Very good. And while the anime downplays this because Xebec the manga makes her part of the harem for sure, which guess is something good. Let’s ignore her Popsicle focus too. Score: 9 Age Mikan starts being 11 years old and becomes 12 during the original series. Sadly this is never brought up again and she remains in grade school for the remainder of the show, meaning no perfect score. That said there were several times I feared the author would age up Mikan for “fanservice” but luckily that never happened; instead Nemesis got hit by that crap. STARS! Score: 9.5 Voice Kana Hanazawa sounding cute and adorable is always great. Also kinda funny since back then there were several series where her and Haruka Tomatsu did “sisters” and KanaHana was always the younger one. And for bonus info note Mikan usually calls Rito by his first name, but uses Oniichan for cuteness in the chapter she gets sick. Of course this chapter was never adapted because Xebec hates Mikan big time. Score: 9.5 Total: 91 - Outstanding : I surpassed Rika albeit barely! Now I can become caliph in place of the caliph! I mean replace Rika as top girl in Zettai’s favorite characters list! Sadly scores don’t mean much, otherwise Fate and Homura would beat you two with their 93 points blogs. : Rats! : More to the point, think Topaz needs his blogly fun. Right!
