I gotta say, as someone who knows nothing about the story, this first episode was pretty disappointing considering all the hype it got. I'll stick it out for the next two episodes but so far it doesn't really look like my kind of thing - this whole game-like setting with a protagonist who seems to be "special" (with a really annoying wimpy voice to match), and no explanation at all about when and where this is taking place. Even the opening theme is like, nothing but every anime opening cliche ever, it was almost funny. If there was anything I liked about this first episode it was the art and animation, and the weird bunny whale-mouthed character Headon. But otherwise, the experience reminded me most of Re:Creators - NOT the best first impression.
