I left a comment on @Pewdie's (PewDiePie's) profile voicing my interest in the phenomenon. One of just eighteen people he happened to befriend on MAL saw it and thoughtfully replied to me. However, they have a resolve to delete messages regarding the topic, and for good reason. They've never actually interacted with PewDiePie, and do not want others to get the wrong idea. He explained that he doesn't know why PewDiePie added him -- he simply sent PewDiePie a friend request around the time of his MAL video. Anywho, this user seems to want to remain in the shadows, which I respect. I still wanted to archive this pleasant surprise, so I figured why not do it in the form of a blog post... after all, no one actually uses MAL's blog feature nor do people ever read the blogs people DO make. But yeah, super nice guy. Super interesting occurrence of PewDiePie befriending random people -- motives unknown.
