Example #590: The Big Love Spreading Throughout the World!

This is the five-hundred-and-ninetieth week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers. *Topaz is once again in front of his house, with Riri and the blog girl. However, Ririchiyo doesn't look happy.* : Topaz, somehow I think that titling this “spreading throughout the world” is in bad taste these days. It's not on purpose, that's just what she says during her transformation. It's just like, REALLY bad timing. : I apologize for not having the foresight to know about things so far in the future. Don't worry. I don't expect you to have 20/20 foresight. : Grrr, that's a terrible pun and I'm surprised it took until March for you to say it. But anyway, are you sure that we should be out and about? There's a huge pandemic around! Don't worry as the blogs are safe. Probably far safer than the real world anyway. : At least that's a relief. But remember to all our readers to take precautions. We enjoy having you around, and Topaz likes hearing your thoughts. Right. And don't worry about us. We have trained professionals taking care of things here. *In another location three magical girls are punching big virus-looking monsters.* : Phew. This sure is hard work. But I suppose that with poor timing we should take care of healing this disease! : If only we could go into the real world. Though I sure hope that I won't be turned into a doctor for bland plot reasons.... : Don't worry, Chi-chan! I'm sure that Nodo-chi will be more likely to be a doctor! Now, how about we keep beating up these monster? *The continue their battle, as we return to Topaz and the others.* So we can only hope that they continue to keep the blog safe. : I suppose so. As well as the other blogs as well as you and the readers. : I'm just glad to hear that I'll have my blog done. After all, I am the last one from my show. That's true, but don't think that there's any secret meaning behind it or anything. : Topaz did do Iona quite some time ago, but otherwise the order has no bearing on anything. : That is a relief. But how about we get started with this blog? I want to spread happiness to everyone, especially in this type of situation! Sounds like a great idea! I'll count that as agreeing to the blog too, so let's look at the last Happiness Charge girl as... : I'm so glad that my series is finally being recognized, as well as myself. I'm full of happiness! I'm glad that you're so optimistic, though I'm sure that you'll do well! : Most certainly. Most Cures do decently with your new scale, Topaz. True. Unless they're irredeemable. Like Haruka. *Megumi sighs* : I still don't see why her series got all the praise... I really should be more liked. : People have terrible tastes. It's like that one saying. Only instead of smart and dumb it's that a person has good tastes but people have terrible tastes. : Actually it fits “smart” and “dumb” precisely. Fair point. But enough talking about specifics how about we talk about Megumi? Especially as we do not know if we'll be attacked or not. : Wait, attacked? : I'm sure that we will, regardless if we hurry along or not. I imagine that whatever villain is brewing is already getting through their plans. Ririchiyo! You know that we're not supposed to mention these things! Though I suppose there's nothing wrong with tempting fate. : Don't worry, I'll be sure to be strong enough to defeat them. *Megumi holds her hand up and places her other on her bicep, in the classic style.* That's true, Cures have been doing well against the enemies this monsters. Or at least the monsters. : That may just be due to your powers, but that may mean that next week will be something tougher. : I'll be ready for them! Then let's get started with the blog! I've been stalling long enough anyway! *Topaz begins the blog. However, unknown to him and the others a mysterious figure is in a nearby attic, summoning a meganekko through a book.* : Finally! Back in the world and-wait, what am I doing here? Who do you think YOU are? *The hooded figure steps forward.* ???: I go by many names. Observer, Witch, and a true one that I shall not mention. But those do not matter. You have been summoned by me using Gilles' book, so now you shall have to work for ME! : Ugh. Once again I have to work for someone who I dislike. And after being brought to this world you wish to make me do villainy once again? Observer: But of course. Then again, all you need to do is stop Topaz's blog. By any means necessary. If we can stop him from completing the blog, my I shall be rewarded. : I see. And why would you need ME to do that? Observer: Let's say that I have interest in viewing what he would do. Though it is a shame that he keeps having the girls fight for him. I'm not getting any data on him at all. : So I have to get HIM to attack? Should be a simple matter for my noise. Observer: Very good. Let's see how you handle THIS, Topaz... *The meganekko begins summoning creatures, though in the meantime we return to Topaz and the others as Megumi's blog begins.* ==Head== ===Hair=== I really do like Megumi's hair, which might come off as a surprise. But there's just something about it that I like. The magenta color is a nice dark red color and plays off her colors pretty well. I like how her hair is medium length and in a ponytail (as this is the series of ponytail Cures). Megumi also has her hair down on occasion, which shows that it goes a little past her shoulders or so when down. She also has twintails at one point as well. Megumi's sides are nice, not quite covering her ears completely but still obscuring them most of the time. Megumi's bangs are spiky with a certain thickness that looks really nice, not at all like a hime cut but still reaching the eyes and having some of the appeal. Cure Lovely has lighter hair, looking more of a bright pink but I suppose that's expected of a Pink Cure. Still, she's aided by just how long her ponytail is, as it passes her knees and is really thick and cool-looking. Otherwise, outside the color and the bangs looking a little more windswept she doesn't change too much hair-wise. Well, at least in normal form as Lollipop Hip-Hop does have twintails, but Cherry Flamenco has another ponytail. It does have a different decoration, with a bright red rose rather than the decoration normal Cure Lovely has. Lollipop Hip-Hop has a big bow on one twintail too. Finally, Forever Lovely has long free hair but with a pink hair color. Overall Megumi does quite well here, though it helps that I do like red hair a little more than I once did. Grade: B+ ===Eyes=== Megumi also has some very nice eyes even if they're not the type that I usually enjoy. Still, she has a nice tarame like the other Happiness Charge girls. It's a similar magenta color to her eyes, though I'm not quite sure if she changes as Cure Lovely (it might be a faint change and I can't notice the difference). Regardless her eye color matches with her hair well. Megumi does have some eyelashes but they aren't anything too major, and I'm not sure if she wore glasses in the series or not. Finally we can't forget that Megumi is awesome and uses eye beams with one of her attacks (though it's more of an aside, a cool thing rather than something that I'd grade on). Overall she does quite well here, maybe not anything I'd look for in particular but her eyes still suit Megumi very well (and in ways that I still enjoy, of course). Grade: B ===Face=== Megumi has a great face, much like the other Cures once again. She has small features which I like, though she does seem to only have a dot nose on occasion. Still nothing too much to worry about, of course. Megumi is also often happy with a big smile though as they bring up this might be because she's hiding her true feelings. Still it's a very nice smile. I will also mention that she wears earrings as Cure Lovely, but I'm not into that type of thing (though maybe it powers up her magical attacks). Overall not much to say here, but Megumi is still quite a beauty that fits her optimistic personality, with a smile most of the time and one that cheers everyone up.. Grade: A- So what do you think of the blog so far, Megumi? Are you enjoying it? : Oh yes. It is quite great. I'm glad that I'm doing so well, or at least I think so. : Fair as it's hard to see how well you'll do before the blog is over. But you've been doing fairly well thus far. : That's a relief. Then again I'm just glad to know that someone is finally appreciating all the hard work we've done in Happiness Charge. I agree. Far too many people dismiss it and- *Topaz is interrupted as Abby runs towards them. She seems out of breath.* : T-TOPAZ! They're coming! Abby! What are you doing? And why were you in the woods? : I was just playing, but then these... MONSTERS came and attacked me! : Why are you getting attacked so much? : I honestly have no idea. Ever since I came by Topaz all these monsters have been attacking me, as if it's all his fault! Perhaps if he stopped his blog they'd stop... : Topaz, can't you stop the blog for now? Abby is worried about the monsters! But if we stop the blog now you'd never know what the results of your score would be. Plus we'd never know what was going to happen, leaving the readers at a cliffhanger. : That's the worst thing. Well, other than the harem lead falling for a girl with “Chi-” but still. : I suppose that's true. Even if the blog ends these monsters might still come after Abby. : N-no! I'm sure that it's because of Topaz's blog! I was innocent before that! You don't have to be so defensive. It's not like I'm putting you on trial or anything. *Hearing that word makes Abby wince.* : Y-you're right. But what can we do against those monsters? We'll have to see what they look like. *From the words come powerful yet silly-looking enemies.* : MINION MINION! : *sighs* REALLY TOPAZ? What are you talking about? No matter, this is serious. Noise are capable of killing so many people around here! : I think I remember girls like Cure Muse or Cure Beat talking about him. He's really powerful. : BOING BOING! : *sighs* I suppose they may have been exaggerating... As stupid as these things are, we should take care of them. Please, Megumi! Do something! : In front of Abby?! It's alright. I've already mentioned that she's a Cure. It shouldn't mess things up too much. : Do not worry, Topaz. I understand what needs to be done... *Megumi transforms into Cure Lovely, leaving Abby who is hiding behind Ririchiyo, to look to the side and bite her thumb.* : Grrr... How many of these things are there? Of those Noise? A few, I think. But don't worry, as I'm sure that Cure Lovely will be able to take care of them. : That's right! LOVELY BEAM! *Cure Lovely fires beams of light at the monster, destroying them easily. They dissipate into nothingness, with all the onlookers seeming amazed.* : So this is the might of a PreCure up close and personal... That's right! : I'm glad that I could destroy them so easily. It's all thanks to Topaz powering me up as well. Certainly, though you haven't changed back. That means that you'll have to fight more today. : Don't worry! I'm ready for anything, and full of happiness! *Cure Lovely pumps her fist.* I'm glad to see you're so excited, so let's continue the blog! ==Body== ===Build=== There isn't all that much to talk about here either, as Megumi is a fairly basic Cure middle school girl. She's slender and not all that shapely, but she does have pretty good legs. Sadly unlike Yuuko she's not memetically assy which is a shame. I can't remember any particular moment where she would have an opportunity to show off either, which is also unfortunate. Probably the only think that I can think of mentioning here is that Cure Unlovely got absolutely awful fanart and anyone who drew that should be punished. But that's not a minus against Megumi herself either, so overall while a little dull she does pretty well here. Grade: B- ===Chest=== Again Megumi is mostly slender and that includes here too. It's fortunate for Cures that they aren't weighed down by useless flab while fighting, which is fitting as they're slender middle school girls (the HapiCha girls in particular, I mean). Grade: B ===Clothes== This place is a little better for Megumi. She has the usual school uniform which consists of a sailor uniform with a red skirt and collar, nothing too interesting. She also seems to have a somewhat “off” sense of fashion, with a multicolored vest over a shirt with a heart on it as well as a frilly multi-colored skirt and dark thighhighs. It's very interesting I suppose, even if not to my tastes (the thighhighs are good at least). She also wears a green track jacket some times, and gets a fancy dress during the movie. Then again what really helps her out are the various costumes from the PreChan Mirror, the transformation item of the season. Some outfits she wears thanks to that include an idol costume, a strapless dress, a football uniform, a dog suit, a pâtissière, a bus guide, and a reporter. There's probably more that I can't remember, which is a shame. As with most Cures in this season Cure Lovely wears a vest over her white shirt, with pink skirt and bow on her chest. She also has her transformation item on her hip, which is where most Cures keep it I imagine. She also has tall white boots. There's also the Lollipop Hip-Hop outfit, consisting of a greenish-yellow shirt with a yellow jacket, multicolored frilly skirt, black thighhighs though with an asymmetrical boot, and wrist bands, and also the Cherry Flamenco outfit which is a form fitting red Spanish dress with black under parts and black heels. Super Happiness Lovely looks silly with her huge wings and Forever Lovely from the movie is mostly just a version of her usual outfit with it mostly being white. Overall her additional outfits really help Megumi out here. Grade: B+ *Topaz halts his blog as more enemies come from the woods.* : BEEP BEEP! : Those are more ridiculous than the ones before! : I can't be too sure... : Whatever they are, use up all your resources to defeat them! I'm sure that there aren't any more! ???: Oh? I think you'll be mildly disappointed... *A meganekko emerges from the woods, wielding an open book.* W-what the? : I am Prelati, the powerful mage and alchemist! Well, technically I'm a construct created by Gilles' spellbook, but that matters not. In this new life I've been told to defeat you. I'll use any means necessary to defeat you and your girls as well! : Oh no, Topaz! She's going to kill me! Er, Us! : Eh? But- : I said KILL US! : I-I suppose-er, MUHAHAH! I shall destroy all of you, even that gothic lolita behind you. Go forth my noise! : You'll never lay a hand on us, I'll be sure to defend us all! : We'll just see about that. Go forth, my Noise! : BEEP HONK BEEP! : Let's see how you like this-Lollipop Hip Hop! : Loli popping? That sounds wrong! Who do you think you are, Patreon? : Ah yes. Truly the worse of all Eeveelutions. Websites are being far too cautious with the wrong kind of thing, and truly companies are the worst evil ever created... : Enough being distracted, weren't you going to destroy my noise with an idiotic musical attack or something? HA! I bet it won't do anything! : We'll see about that! Poppin' Sonic Attack *Lovely uses her powerful attack, taking down the Noise. They disappear into dust.* : Uwah wah wha.... *Prelati scowls at Cure Lovely, glancing over at Abby and Riri.* : Do you really think that something like that is all that I can do? I have something far bigger up my sleeve! Your arms? They look kinda skinny from here. : I didn't mean that literally! Well, okay so I did, but that doesn't matter! *Prelati pulls out a crystal from her sleeve and throws it at the ground, breaking it. The ground then shakes and from the earth comes a huge Noise.* : GAAOOOUUU! Oh no! The awful Dinn! : Topaz, that is probably the most obscure reference you've ever had. (I mean seriously. You're showing your age with Phantom Tollbooth jokes. In fact that show is like your parent's generation...) : Surely Topaz will be defeated by a monster of that size! : No matter the size of your monsters, I shall be sure to defeat them-WITH THE POWER OF SPAIN! : Eh? Oh no, it seems like Cure Lovely is going to be bringing the S-PAIN! : That joke is terrible, and I hope that Zettai isn't offended... : Isn't that the guy that Yuuko likes hanging around? But no matter. I'm full of happiness, so prepare to be defeated you big monster! : GWAAAARRRHHH! : Passion Dynamite! *With that Cure Lovely uses a flaming attack against the gigantic noise, destroying it easily. It slowly turns to dust.* : Uwawahwahaaaa! : Really, Topaz? Now the Street Fighter defeat noise? Maybe, they seem strong enough. But this time it was Cure Lovely, and I think you should work on your grammar too. : No, I meant... *sighs* Why do I even deal with those horrible jokes? Because otherwise I wouldn't be funny at all. But look, it seems that the quick defeat has caused Prelati to be stunned! : We'd better watch out! True, so let's continue to talk about Megumi. Though she'll also have to keep an eye out. : But of course, as otherwise how can I shoot my Lovely Beams? *Topaz continues his blog as Lovely keeps her eyes on Prelati, who seems to be suffering.* ==Mind== ===Personality=== Megumi has a great personality, probably one of the best Pink Cures and not just looking at the more recent ones. She's cool and heroic, and as a big fan of Cures she loved being called into service. It's odd though, as since Yuuko was a Cure before the series started too it seems that Megumi was the last one of the group to become a Cure chronologically. She is also a powerful fighter, coming up with all sorts of attacks though it seems she is a fan of mecha anime as between the eye lasers, rocket punch, and even a chest laser or energy sword she has a lot of common moves from that type of show (most likely based on Mazinger Z, another Toei series from way back in the day). Which kinda makes Megumi seem more awesome too xD. She's also very optimistic, which helps though it's said that she's actually sad underneath. She thinks it's selfish that she's being kind and helping out, thinking that she's only doing it for the praise but she gets better after the girls assure her that's not the issue. Sadly this does mean that Megumi gets taken advantage near the end of the series, pushing a lot of the focus on her but other than that she's pretty fair with the other girls (a lot better than other Pink Cures, certainly). I do think that she has a bit of a tact problem, but she still helps out to the best of her abilitie. She is also slightly clumsy (at least from what I read, I don't remember any particular moments), but in general Megumi is a great genki girl and one of that archetype that I really like. Her catchphrase is “Full of Happiness” it seems. She also likes fashion, but isn't very good at it as her style is a little out there. Overall Megumi is a great Pink Cure, and while I probably didn't give a good summary of her character just know that she's really great. She's voiced by Megumi Nakajima, yes they share the first name, but she's still a really good VA. She gives Megumi a good hyper voice that's not annoying, and it really fits her optimistic, helpful nature. Her character song shows off Megumi's voice, name similarity pun not intended, and hearing her is really heartwarming. Grade: B+ ===Libido== Megumi does have a little bit of difficulty here, as she has two ships. Well, that's not counting the yuri ships and considering she does hug Hime a few times as well as Mirage those are an option too. But Seiji is the main one. He's Megumi's childhood friend and he has a crush on her for most of the series, even if Megumi herself is doesn't realize it. There's also the older guy Blue who she has a crush on, and one that drags out far too long. Especially with how he goes with Mirage instead after she gets purified. Megumi gives up but I suppose that's understandable, especially since I'm not big on that kind of age difference. Still, Megumi does fairly well here, especially with Seiji being a childhood friend as there could always be more winners like that in modern series. Oh, and I'll mention that it seems that Mirage does go with Blue, as I didn't remember properly with Yuuko's blog last week meaning that Phantom would be paired with her. Grade: B ===Age=== Megumi starts out the series being fourteen like the others, at least as far as I know. I bring this up as, unlike the others, she does have a birthday. Fortunately it's not just for Pink Cure reasons (though it does suck that it ended up that way), there's a plot where her birthday is Oresky's, one of the villains, and he gets upset about it. Thus for about the last quarter or so (from episode 36) it's possible that Megumi is 15 rather than the usual Cure age. Regardless she still scores about the same. Grade: B Total Grades: 76 Average score: 8.4 Final Grade: B And that's the blog for this week. : Hmm, it seems I did quite well, even among the Happiness Charge girls. : Indeed. Take this: PINKY LOVE SHOOT! *Cure Lovely's attack hits Prelati directly, causing her body to start cracking.* Oh no! It didn't work! She's going to burst like this! : No no... She stopped my body from exploding. How? I'm not sure. But do know that I am not the one in charge of what's been happening. : W-wait, you're not? Then tell us, while your body is doing the slow dissolve thing that happens with Final Fantasy bosses! : I was summoned here using Gilles' book, and I'm not sure how he was brought here either. Just know that you shouldn't trust someone close to you... Oh? : And do not worry, as this body is just a dumb remnant and not my actual body. If I had a bigger role I might have a blog in the future, but alas... : True. Especially because that would imply your partner would get a blog and that would be horrible. : Now, for Observer's identity... She is-KYAAHHH! *The remnant's body gets skewered by various tentacles. Her body is dissolved as well.* N-no! Zettai's going to kill me when he finds out I killed a girl he liked! : He wouldn't do that (only when they're your blog assistants). Besides, that's not her actual form and is just a short-term enemy. : True. But then who is the true enemy? I suppose that it's time to accuse the true villain of the month. After all... She's been watching us the whole time... : What do you mean? : There's someone watching us? Creepy? : Indeed. Who knows what they might have found out! They could be anywhere! Or they could be right under our noses... Isn't that right...
