Hello everyone! It's time again for my blog update. This blog I'm going to be writing about what I'm watching now and plan to watch soon. I think last year I said something like, I hate watching anime in the summer, I'm taking summer off from now on or something, maybe that was exaggerated, but this year it has not been like that so much. I did have a lot going on for me this month so I think I watched a little less overall but have been sticking to a similar schedule the whole year, which is good.
So this season I was most hyped about starting the new shows. I picked Fire Force and Nakanohito Genome to watch and I thought the first eps turned out really good but then there was the Kyoani fire tragedy and now felt like everything about fire is really sensitive and didn't know if it is a good idea to keep watching Fire Force even though I really wanted to so there was the two weeks wait for the next ep, and I did watch Tsurune and it was really good! Also I guess Dr. Stone is airing and I didn't want to watch it because I think the main character is really crappy and arrogant so refusing to watch it because of that (and maybe other reasons), sorry, only saw part of the first ep. So then I watched the next ep of Fire Force and there is a lot of really bad fanservice the last few eps. I mean I am still interested in watching it but after the part where Shinra gropes that girl from the other house I am just like, I don't know if I can bring myself to like Shinra as the main character anymore... It's really sad because I was going to ship Shinra and Iris or something and now whenever they're in the same room I'm like "be careful Iris, Shinra is a no good sleezy person!" And it just feels weird having Arthur as my favorite character lol... so like Iris is my favorite character even though she doesn't do much. But looking forward to the next episode. It's not really perfect at all but I guess it's worth watching for how funny the awful one liner banter is, and to find out what happens next but... Seriously, Shinra, do something redeeming soon pls, I almost like the gravel captain more than you. Sorry, lol. I should probably read the manga. I do want to read the manga but I feel like if I do it might ruin my enjoyment of the anime a little so I'm trying to wait until after I watch the anime but I feel like maybe I should just read it if the anime keeps annoying me or something... sometimes things are better in manga depending on the anime. TBH I think if they censor things for the anime it might be better, though I know a lot of people might not agree with that.
For Nakanohito Genome I kind of like it because it seems like one of those really bad reality shows where they "kidnap" a bunch of people and strand them somewhere and make them do ridiculous tasks but they literally do that without their permission in this. I think someone doing the "what to watch this season" reviews gave it a really bad review which made me sad because I like it even though a lot of it is nonsense, I guess, but I'm finding it worth watching so far, not sure what to expect.
A lot of things I started I want to resume/ finish up. The list is getting longer but I'm prioritizing these:
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi
Fate/Zero 2nd Season (sad/crying)
Space Dandy
Heavy Object
Dream Festival! R
Carol & Tuesday
Shield Hero
