Oregairu is a anime where a lot of people just completely drop because they see it as a boring anime. Well that's where many viewer just judge the book by its cover. If you watch more episode to it you can see the way of living that Hachiman has chosen. The Distasteful and colourless way of living that avoid social interaction. Hachiman is actually a smart guy, it takes a lot of brain power to think of various way to make people hate you and want to avoid you where hachiman is smart enough to attack the mental and the feeling.
Despite his way living that destroy social life and more on focusing on living alone he actually has his own way of helping people where it is center on either him sacrificing his self or sacrificing someone else for the good for other.
as a guy that got bully a lot and usually hangout alone i can relate many stuff to hachiman's daily life. Where depression sorrow and mind game comes one.
