Hair
Maya has black hair. Big surprise given this month, but it’s pretty good hair. It reaches her waist and curls up slightly which looks cute. Her uniform also comes with a cute hat. When not being evil she has braids which look good and add nice variety. Shame for her generic bangs, but overall her hair looks really good.
Score: 9.5
Eyes
Maya has golden eyes. They look very nice and go well with her hair and clothes. The tsurime shape helps. Even better, also when not being evil she wears glasses. That was a nice surprise.

Maya is good here. The bad news are she lacks measurements, but that may be a blessing in disguise because this series is bad with those and she would run into the 90HB most likely. The good are she’s fine otherwise and looks good, being somewhat tall and not overly busty and looking nice overall. I will say her mamocentric scenes in the not-Ryuuou no Oshigoto episode sucked, especially given the series, but otherwise not bad.

Maya is alright here. She’s mostly seen in her Black Elite uniform which looks cool and villainous and such, fits her pretty well. She also wears a few other costumes, mostly in the galge episode, and while none was amazing the variety helps. Good.

Personality
Maya is kinda cool. She’s the main antagonist of the series, member of Black Elite which is a group that tries to destroy anime and manga by entering their worlds and infecting them with viruses that destroy everything which naturally the main girls fight to prevent from happening. She appears every episode to boss around her minions and have amusing banter with the girls, but helps out in the finale because she likes the show sent into too much and the stuff got troublesome. Presumably the girls keep fighting her after the series.
Good personality too. She’s basically a Doronjou type villainess, think Team Rocket from the Pokémon anime for a popular example. That means she basically is a comedic villain but a fun one, and when not being evil the woman has an average life which was surprising but amusing. Being evil must not pay well. She even has her own focus episode sorta in the galge episode where we see more about her and her feelings and appreciate more how sympathetic the girl was. Sadly seems she’s anime only like said, but a good addition. Overall a likable character and I personally prefer her over the heroines, though Chimari/Michi/Rei are cool too.

Reception
Maya fails here. First her series is just plain unpopular, with an undeservingly low score and unfairly negative reviews. And you can’t say this is just MAL because the series sold poorly in Japan and the original game closed two months after the anime ended. Meanwhile DxD has four seasons. Why. Worse, poor Maya has ZERO fanart both in Danbooru and Pixiv and this is just plain inexcusable. The series doesn’t have that many pics but still should give the main villain some. Fine, she’s anime only but still. The only thing saving Maya here is her solid screentime and being technically the most favorited character in MAL but still not much. Shame.

Maya surprisingly does well. You would think a character like her wouldn’t get romance but she does sorta, with the aforementioned galge episode being all about seducing HER and turns out pretty good. She could use some actual love interest, yuri or straight matter not, but overall nice.

Maya lacks a specific age. She’s older than the high school main girls for sure, and probably in her late twenties if not early thirties given she considers not-Eva a childhood show. Very nice.
