Sharpedo in the Japanese version is "Samehada" which is the name of Kisame's sword from Shippuden LOLOL HAHAHA hehehe small world, small world... (Also "samehada" is Japanese for "shark skin" so yeah)

I'd say the English dub is still better in my opinion... I don't know lol
The Japanese original version is objectively better though. But all the names of the Pokémon are very different. And I'm sure that throws a lot of us off.

Overall verdict is probably maybe just stay away from this entire Pokémon anime franchise and just play the video games uh aha... I guess some things really do never change. My opinion never really faltered on that.
But I guess the main difference is now I really feel like I have the patience to watch something like this though... Long running anime series... 45+ seasons...

Also the Japanese version has an opening sequence, which is really, really nice. And the first and second episode are an hour special, and the third and fourth episode of the Japanese are an hour-special. How nice... And the English dubbed version has... neither of these things. Sigh.
